And NO… not in “that” way… before your mind starts running wild…
Hopped on the train this morning. It was jam-packed with women all going to the same place… Colour Conference (Hillsong’s Women’s Conference at the Olympic Park). There was endless chatter all around me, unlike the usual silence in trains. It was quite amusing, especially seeing the random guys in there wondering where all these women were going.
During worship, it was so amazing and encouraging to see women of all ages... yes, including the older generation worshiping with all their heart to the lively, youthful, United songs.
After the conference, we came out and it was raining. Many chose to make a dash to the train station (which was a good 5-minutes walk away). Even those of us with umbrellas got drenched with the strong wind blowing. It put a smile on my face to see a mother (she must have been in her late 50’s) and daughter all drenched and jumping about in a puddle, carefree and totally enjoying the moment. Women are strong. And some know how to let loose and have fun, no matter the age.
Got off the train and saw a heavy stream of water pouring off the edge of the roof of the platform into the carriage. All the ladies in there were rather amused at the sight too.
Had to wait for another train. All by myself in Sydney, as I sat there shivering in the chilling wind, drenched from the pouring rain, with an old man beside me on the bench and a pack of chips to keep me company, and the presence of God with me, I enjoyed every moment of it.
Interesting Firsts:
Being in the same room with 16,000 women

Flashback:
A friend and I were walking in the middle of London city when we were stopped in our track by a huge bilboard right in front of us. It read "Thank God for women." And had two women in their lingerie in the bed kissing each other. We stared at it for what must have been a good 10 minutes, trying to figure out what it was trying to say. Only later did we find out that it was set up by a group championing the cause for the awareness of homosexuality.
